The basis for every visualization is processed 3D models and we are happy to support you with them as well: Our services in preparing your data consist of applied polygonisation of CAD models, the creation of surface properties from prototypes including their surface structures (grains) and the modelling of subsequently added constructional elements and design features.
Polygonisation / Tessellation
Techvis will gladly prepare your CAD data by tessellation in several levels of detail (LODs) for offline and real time visualization. Thus any subsequent rendering will be much easier and faster and can be easily implemented with current application programmes.
We can directly work with these formats: Pro/ENGINEER®, STEP, DWG DXF, IGES or Open Inventor™. Other formats like CATIA® V4/V5 on request.
Texturing & Shading
We simulate material characteristics from prototypes including their surface structure. Gladly we will compile complete shader libraries for all the materials of your product (application independent or, on request, for specific applications as well). Once compiled, those databases can be used repeatedly – for example for web configurators that are often used in the transportation sector.
Variants & VariantsSets in Autodesk Maya
With our specially developed tool „Variants & VariantSets“ within Autodesk® Maya® we make it possible for our customers to parallelly hold available diverse variants and states of development and, if required, to hand them over to a third party. Variants can be generated for geometries or materials and bundeled in VariantsSets, which for their part can be edited in any form via Python.
We develop high-definition surface structures and allocate them to polygonised tools without distortion so that they can be used within digitally controlled laser ablation. With our partner BKL Lasertechnik we have developed a sample catalogue with several types of grains: Technical grains, fine-grain structures, natural grains and effect grains. By means of our diverse visualising possibilities you can virtually analyse the grain on the component exactly and modify it freely.
